My Story

This verse illustrates the profound value hidden within the ordinary aspects of our lives. It is a reminder that even the mundane moments can carry deep significance. In HR, I seek to integrate this message into every part of my work, transforming ordinary policies, processes, and trainings into expressions of extraordinary significance.

My Journey in Compliance

Over the past two decades, I have developed a strong track record of successfully addressing complex organizational challenges and fostering positive workplace cultures. 

• Non-profits: I learned how to stretch resources and do more with less. 
• Government: I honed in on my policy creation skills, ensuring transparency to address stakeholder concerns. 
• Startups: I practiced creativity and provided guidance to leaders who had limited experience. 

Compassion is Where it Began

My story began in the heart of San Francisco's Tenderloin district. As a volunteer coordinator, I orchestrated up to 100 teenagers each week to serve our neighborhood. I selected and trained summer staff, nurturing their leadership skills. Together, we ventured into the streets, reaching out to those society often overlooks: 

• Connecting homeless individuals to vital resources.
• Offering a cup of hot cocoa to those battling addiction.
• Lending a listening ear to street kids seeking refuge.
• Creating a safe place for victims of trafficking. 
• Guiding low-income families toward opportunities for a brighter future.

Every interaction was a chance to discover the immense power of compassion. These moments transcended the confines of volunteer work; they became the fabric of who I am today. 

A Life of Faith and Family

For almost 30 years, my husband and I have dedicated ourselves to:

• Youth Ministry
• Leading Worship

Family is a priority, with two grown children who we visit often. As a couple, we enjoy outdoor activities especially camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
